There was a return of the rain in May but there were still enough CAVOK days for our members to go on some more flying adventures, with our usual mix of adrenaline, tranquility, challenge and nostalgia.

Nancy Lillington spent a spectacular weekend in bonny Scotland! According to SkyDemon logs, she covered exactly 1000 miles in just over 10 hours! Tatenhill – Kirkbride – Fife – Easter – Oban – Glenforsa – Carlisle – Tatenhill.

Helen Hennessey took part in formation flying with the Irish Historic Flight Foundation, from Ballyboy to Caernarfon for the VE Day fly in.

Anne Fielding departed Tiree in a PA28 Cherokee after a day out at the beach with her friend.

Bev Reardon spent some quality time perfecting landings on a 300 m strip near Nottingham.
