Members’ adventures November 2024
November saw more exciting trips from our members, international travel again and a few rays of sunshine in between snow and rain. Winter has not stopped us.
Joan Walsh watched November’s supermoon rise above the airfield as the sun went down and G-HD was prepared for bed until the next opportunity to fly.
Vero Pepperrell completed her first lesson of circuits then went with her husband and friends to Newquay and back, seeing beautiful snow-covered fields, the sea and beaches, whilst catching a rainbow (and the sunset) on the way back.
Louise Rotheram Smith enjoyed exercising her night rating over Birmingham and at Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport.
Poppy Qureshi headed up to Flamborough head whilst there were the joys of some snow.
Steph Smith flew a Beechcraft T-34 Mentor whilst on holiday in Las Vegas. Here’s Hoover Dam from the air.
Maeghan Dee enjoyed golden hour flying over Downton Abbey, aka Highclere Castle.
Catherine Woehrel experienced her first time in a glider and loved it.
Sarah Smith was lucky enough to visit The Needles twice.
