Members’ adventures January 2026
Happy New Year! After some biblical rain and terrible weather, some lucky members still managed to get out for some flying — well done, ladies. Let’s hope the next 40 days are slightly drier and we get reacquainted with blue skies…

Vero Pepperrell had a fun flight with fellow BWPA member Amber drawing a heart and arrow in the skies in her Jabiru 450. They saw a few rainbows and dodged a few clouds along the way!

Taylor Craft with sunset rays to the west heading back home after a lovely day.

Steph Smith backseating a friends MEIR session in the DA42 for an RNP approach at Shoreham

Louise Rotheram-Smith, not a flying photo, but this was one of the largest gatherings made up of former Concorde pilots, engineers and cabin crew. There was even a former test engineer. It was to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first Concorde commercial flight.

Isabelle Gledhill took to the skies over Shropshire Aero Club to complete the final 45 minutes of her solo circuits on a snow day. Spectacular views over the Shropshire countryside.

Helen Hennessy returning to Weston (EIWT) after enjoying a rare gap in the January rain

Dagmar Opheij is here flying over West Belgium enroute to LFAT. With clear vision on The White Cliffs. COOL!!
