Join us for our 70th AGM, and Festive Lunch and Awards Ceremony, on Sunday 7 December at The Petwood Hotel.

The Petwood is one of the most memorable places to stay in Lincolnshire. Once home to 617 Squadron, The Dambusters, and surrounded by acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodland, it is steeped in British history.

Ticket Purchase

We offer two types of tickets for the Christmas event:

• Purchase tickets for Members in the Members’ Area
• Purchase tickets for non-Members here

Member tickets include AGM attendance.

To attend the AGM only, please get a free AGM-only ticket to let us know you’ll be attending.

For those wishing to stay, members will benefit from an excellent reduced rate. Rooms must be booked direct by telephone and quote the BWPA 70th Anniversary AGM and dinner.

• AGM: The AGM is designed to encourage open discussions and engagement among all members.
• Group Photo: At 11:30, we’ll gather for a group photo to capture the spirit of the day and celebrate our BWPA community.
• Guest Speaker: Fiona and Angus Macaskill
• Three-course Festive Lunch: Options available upon ticket booking
• Lunch will be followed by the presentation of the BWPA’s annual awards.

About the Guest Speakers

BWPA members Fiona and Angus Macaskill, married for 52 years, have spent much of their lives flying together. Fiona began paragliding at 37, developing a passion that led her to compete over 80 times worldwide, represent Great Britain in major championships, and achieve four world records. At 60, she transitioned from paragliding to powered flight, earning her Private Pilot Licence.

Over the past 12 years, the couple has owned several aircraft and flown extensively across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Botswana, and the UK. Recently, they set a Guinness World Record by landing at 71 airfields in 12 hours. Their talk will recount their shared aviation adventures, including the challenges and triumphs of a life filled with flying and world records.
