2017 BWPA AGM/Christmas Lunch/Awards was the first time we had an event being snowed in. It was a challenge for those who made it to the venue and a disappointment to those who were forced to give up the journey due to traffic condition. Well done to some who braved the weather and made it to the event. Despite the reduced number of attendees, everyone was having fun and enjoying the event.  Some new aviation gifts and signed copies of the “Fifty Ways to Fly” were available for sale with all proceeds going to BWPA scholarships.
It was very inspiring to hear about the achievements of the awards winners. One of the award winners, Zoe Burnett, who won the Hilda Hewett Trophy, travelled all the way from Spain to collect it. Some other winners travelled from Dundee and Bristol too.
