Flying into 2024 with inspiration from 2023

We welcomed 2024 with a toast towards what we are sure will be a great year with many more achievements. While most of us have set our flying targets for the year, further inspirations are always welcome. We wanted to highlight some of the wonderful achievements and events that have happened over the past 12 months, and what to look out for in 2024.

Scholarships

In 2023 we were able to award 16 scholarships to female pilots. Look out for updates on how they use their scholarships through our social media (Facebook, X and Instagram) and news posts. We are grateful for the support from our 2023 partners and look forward to offering a wide range of scholarship opportunities to our members in 2024 to continue to support women in aviation.

Events

During 2023, many BWPA members of all ages and backgrounds made it to our regional events, socials, including our recent AGM and festive weekend. They made friendships, shared experiences and had adventures together. Many events are already planned for early 2024 – keep an eye on our events page to see what’s happening near you.

Achievements

We are proud of all BWPA members for their dedication and passion for their flying journeys. We especially enjoyed celebrating the achievements of members who reached special milestones in 2023, including first solos and achieving various licences and ratings. We hope to celebrate many more in 2024.
