This year, we are pleased to be able to award one BWPA CATS Full Time Scholarship to a female pilot.

The scholarship covers the full cost of an online ATPL(A) full time distance learning theory course with CATS. The course includes 100 days of daily online teaching, from 10:00–16:00, with CATS instructors, online access to study guides, progress tests and practice papers. This scholarship has the value of £2,999.

The following are not included in the scholarship and must be obtained or paid for by the scholarship winner as part of their course:

  • CAA or EASA exam costs.
  • Printed study guides.

All applicants must be full members of the BWPA. Applications are not restricted to UK citizens or residents. Applicants must already hold a PPL(A) and preferably have written confirmation from an AME that they are capable of obtaining a Class 1 medical certificate. By applying, you are confirming that you comply with these conditions. The BWPA is an inclusive organisation; we welcome applications from any woman.

The panel may contact you with further questions and may request an interview (which would be via Zoom), and will contact your named supporter if you are shortlisted.

Scholarship winners will have the opportunity to be formally congratulated at our Christmas Lunch and Awards ceremony in December 2022, at a date and venue yet to be decided.

The BWPA and CATS reserve the right to make no award if no suitable candidates are identified.
